Title: Chowder is fucking amazing
Post by: Himu on September 15, 2008, 06:05:45 PM: Why didn't anyone tell me about this show? This show is fucking great.

The animation is great, it's got a unique Gankutsuoh: Count of Monte Cristo look in some areas. Where the some parts of a character has a static texture on them. It's so awesome.

And the show is hilarious too.

I didn't think they made cartoons like this anymore. This is good ol' fashion, non-story based, American cartoonin' at work.

Holy shit.

What's this show on CN about a cartoon reality show? It has my interest. How is it? Any other good shows on CN these days?

The filler episodes for TT were pretty bad, but when shit got serious (Apprentice Terra & Slade storyline), TT was fucking amazing.

The little bit of genius is that they write Chowder himself as a kid and have a kid do the voice. Almost all kids in comedy are written as precocious and/or cynical and it's meant to be funny because a kid wouldn't say that oh my so shocking.

Chowder's hyperactive, dumb, curious, impressionable, unreliable and a constant annoyance to those around him. They just dialed up all the standard childhood traits and it's great.
