This is more directed toward the single-single dudes. I would imagine being married or living with someone would make things a bit different.
For example, I live on my own without any roommates and I'm kinda of surprised by the lack of entertaining I do. Most of the time I prefer to meet with friends at a venue, bar, restaurant, or outdoors. I have a pretty big apartment, too, by New York City standards, at least.
How about you guys? Is your home/flat your fortress of solitude as well?

Yeah, I would figure. I love to cook, but I mostly get to cook for large groups for private catering gigs that I get once in a blue moon.

I rarely had people over when I was single. Now, because of our location in the city and having Rock Band, our house is party central.

I'd mostly have one friend at a time over, same for my wife. A couple times we've had a bunch of my friends over but not often. Our apartment's laid out weird so we don't have a ton of room. Even though our new apartment is probably going to be smaller it'll be a lot more well organized and will seem like we have more room. <3 Maybe some lucky EBer will be invited over and sodomized. One can only hope. :-*

I'm single and rarely have someone over unless I'm trying to get in their pants. Although I'd like to have friends over more often to cook for them, time is an issue.
Also, my best friends are those that I only talk to about every two months - that's why I like them so much.

I love having people over, some times on weekends I'll make 2 pans of lasagna or BBQ up burgers and brats or something and have people over for an evening and when we start to get rowdy I move it to a bar. Then again I don't have any family near me and neither do most of my friends so we are each others family, about every other weekend one if us does this... and we are generally all single.
