I have Zelda of course but i also have unopened red steel and Rayman that I might take back and get something else with. What three games should I get?
Madden?
Call of Duty?
Monkey Ball?
-
SUPER MONKEY BALL: BANANA BLITZ
METAL SLUG ANTHLOGY
TRAUMA CENTER: SECOND OPINION
Everything else looks like it sucks.
-
Metroid Prime
Metal Slug
Super Monkey Ball
Never played Trauma Center so I don't know whether it's worth it or not.

Good choices.

Anyone play red steel? I wasnt going to keep it, but my friend says its awesome.
I'll probably take red steel and rayman back and wait for some better games.
-
your friend is a total dipshit. kill him and sell his organs to buy a 360 or a gaming PC.
-
If you're going to get a Monkey Ball game, get the original GC game. *That* was a good game, Banana Blitz isn't (the single player game isn't bad but the mini-games are awful). Wii Sports, Zelda, Trauma Center, and Metal Slug are the good Wii games.

I own
Zelda
Trauma Center
Rayman
Madden
I enjoy em all, Rayman is for my son, but it's still pretty fun.

Honestly, I believe the three best games for the system are the first party titles. Wii Sports, Zelda, and Excite Truck.
Beyond that, the ones I think are possibly worth owning. Trauma Center (if you're into that), Monkey Ball (if you're into that series), and Rayman (if you just want some fun minigames).
Other than that, I wouldn't spend any money on the others myself.
I will be all over Metal Slug next week though. :D Beyond that Elebits might be good in December, as well as Super Swing Golf. January has WarioWare, and Wii PLAY.

Zelda, Excite Truck, Super Monkey Ball & Trauma Center.

I have Zelda and Trauma Center, and that's probably going to be it for the immediate future. I could never get into Monkey Ball, and Excite Truck looks like a game I'd never be even wiimotely interested in if it weren't a launch title. Metal Slug Anthology I'm waffling on, I'll probably get the PSP version instead...

Is anybody enjoying red steel?
-
it is OK, the controls can be frustrating, but the brain dead AI makes up for it.
-
Red Steel is fun to play, given all it's bugs - I'd take it over Call of Duty 3 in a heartbeat.
Note that Trauma Center is IDENTICAL to the DS version. It's still fun, but not worth $50 if you've already played it.
-
I never played the DS trauma center, im not sure If i would like it though. I dont really like frustatin games and this seems to have little reply factor.

I'm getting Trauma Center, Super Swing Golf, Monkey Ball, and Metal Slug before year ends.

This game has difficulty settings now than the DS version. The frustration will be there still but it makes you come back to the game for more...or maybe it's just me. As for reply factor...if you plan on aiming for S Ranks on each operation and each difficulty settings then this game should last you for a while. The DS version lasted me roughly 1 month to beat and 7 months to get S ranks through casual play..roughly 3-5 hours a week or so.
The games I recommend (excluding Zelda) are:
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz (Probably more enjoyable if you have friends or family)
???
Soon:
Metal Slug Anthology (if it ever comes out)
Elebits
Red Steel might be worth a buy if you want to try a 1st gen FPS game. I played multi on it with my friends and we didn't enjoy it much. The single player might be good...I wouldn't buy the game for $50 though. Launch games (aside from Zelda) seems a bit dry for the Wii really...I hope for new games soon.
I heard DragonBall Z was pretty decent...
