Title: $100 Dell gift card that expires at the end of the year! What do I buy?
Post by: Ecrofirt on September 21, 2008, 02:59:33 PM: I've already got a laptop (made a thread about it. Got an XPS 1210m for $50 woo).

My desktop is 4 years old or so, but still runs great. 3.6GHz P4 with 2GB of RAM and an x800XT. I don't do anything other than emulating old games, so I don't really need anything beefy.

I've got an mp3 player that I don't really use, so I don't need a new one.

So, hrm... What to buy, what to buy. Any suggestions?

Post by: Hitler Stole My Potato on September 22, 2008, 09:48:44 AM: Put it towards a large monitor (24"-30"). I got a 26" Samsung this weekend in preperation of the new computer I ordered last week and even though it's currently running off my 5 year old Dell the thing looks balls out amazing. It almost feels like a new system. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner.
