Title: LittleBigPatch: online co-op creation will be added later...Home

This is correct.

The ability to create with your friends online will come as part of the first major update after the game is released. Offline creating with up to 4 people on one PlayStation 3 however is available right from the get go.

The next question will undoubtedly be "when is the first update due" and right now there is no specific time set at the moment, however with the game having gone gold, the team at Media Molecule are already hard at work on content for the game after its release, with online multiplayer creating top of the list.

Online Co-op playing will still be there though...

Honestly, I wouldn't have expected that feature on launch.  That is so totally a gravy, over-the-top feature.

Heh, I thought creating and editing levels together online was one of the big 'social' staples. Not that big of a deal, but I just had to laugh when I read that.

it's a feature MM claimed would be in the game, why wouldn't you have expected it to be in the game at launch?

now you're at their mercy for whenever they get around to patching it in.

i remember reading somewhere that the offline four-player creation gets pretty bogged down and laggy at times

i'd imagine online it would be a slideshow

yeah, they can downplay it now all they want, but the online cooperative creation was at the forefront of just about every article i read

not that it bothers me, still buying

i was actually looking forward to that feature, since none of my real-life friends with PS3s are buying the game

i'm pretty frustrated with my PS3-owning RL friends

I know 2 people with PS3s, and they hardly ever even watch Blu Rays much less buy games

I tried to sell them on Warhawk, since it's pretty cheap used now, we could all get together online once a week or so and play online in private games, with the split screen we could do eight-player matches (that's all the janky warhawk servers will let me host, even though i used to host 24-player COD3 matches with no problem) - none of them have bought it even though they all liked what i showed them

burnout paradise was a no-sell as well, and COD4

neither of them are even connected online, even though it's free (and i told them all they had to do was buy a cheap wireless router and i'd hook it up for them)

i have to wonder why they each spent $400 if they're not even going to use what's there

It's pretty weak that the feature won't be in at launch and I hope they do release the patch as soon as they can.  There really needs to be some event that makes game developers learn that most gamers are smelly anti-social bastards who don't play games locally anymore.

Apparently 2 player was fine, but when doing more it started to have bad slow down.  This was in an earlier build, so who knows.

You guys can still make a level together online! Just hook up a web cam and point it at your TV and copy everything the other person does.  It's a feature.

The GT5p damage patch is going to cost $60 and come with more cars/tracks and better graphics.  I think it will probably be released in a year or two.  Hopefully there is functional online this time around.
