mmm... prinnies...
The demo is out on PSN-J and requires the 4.05 firmware. I'm currently stuck on the 4.01 custom and Dark Alex's site seems to be down right now. :(
-
I have 3.90 cfw
-
Wait for it to be dumped and hex'd to run on any firmware.
-
I tried the demo last night, it's pretty fun.
There are also Trusty Bell and X-Edge demos up on the Japanese PSN store. As expected X-Edge is HORRIBLE.
-
And you probably thought Eternal Sonata was "hey this is pretty good. i like it." then when you play the retail game you'll go "oh my GOD I HAVE A VAGINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
-
It was pretty good, but it was ridiculously hard. It's the same demo as the 360 one, but I've heard that the difficulty got ramped up for some reason.
-
One of the huge complaints is that the game is retardedly easy (tm Nintendo). If you replay the game on Encore mode (for achievements...) then the difficulty is nice and good. Maybe they made Encore mode the default, and something harder for Encore.
-
A harder difficulty won't fix the rest of the Eternal Sonata's faults like the completely shallow and repetitive combat system, awful overall game design, and a mess of story. Game sure is perty to look at, but a gold painted turd is still a turd.

I ran through the demo today, it was pretty easy. That's what I get for trying something in Japanese for the first time at 2am.
