Picked it up last week, just started playing it on Mon night... it's a very nice looking game with high-quality 2D, and some great music. Pretty reminiscent of Yoshi's Island, with the ability to throw enemies in a direction by tilting the Wiimote. Waggle is minimal, but I think they should have completely removed it and allowed for Classic Controller support, the Wiimote tilted on its side is uncomfortable to hold for extended periods of time. Right now, the big problem it suffers from is the N64-onwards problem Nintendo has of being too generous with the life meter and amount of restore items you get. But... the levels feature achievement type goals, i.e. make it to the end without dying, collect x number of coins, stomp on 3 enemies in a row... and trying to get these is pretty fun and adds much needed challenge to the game. Overall, I think Parish may have been harsh on it, but it's still enjoyable and worth trying.

Heading out later today to grab this.

it's boring, retardedly easy, but it looks ok.

Have you been trying to get the achievements during the levels?

Yes, I have 100% the entire game so far up to middle of World 3

I'm just about finished it, and despite thinking it could be awesome early on, it is really easy and repetitive. My biggest problem is that there aren't enough buttons on the controller and it leads to awkward situations. Best part is how amazing it looks.

The last boss is so shitty. It is basically a QTE event without the buttons on the screen.
