Title: This month is the most wonderful month of the year! Zombie BlackBerry!
Post by: The Fake Shemp on October 02, 2008, 10:34:24 AM
I already launched my zombie-theme BlackBerry, with zombie wallpaper and various tones for IMs, texts and e-mails including zombie groans and the score from Dawn of the Dead (Romero's).  It freaked out people earlier when I was receiving e-mails.  My ringtone is Your Brains (http://www.myxertones.com/tag/109524/) by Jonathan Coulton (it's free!).  Facebook alerts set off Zombie Nation by Kernkraft 400.

And the weather feels like Fall!  It's getting nippy!  I can't wait to go to Butler's Orchard and get cider and pumpkins (I haven't done that in years thanks to living in California, which has only two seasons).

AMC Monsterfest!

Leaves!

Hot women in nurse outfits (with Joker faces?)!

Hump day!

I hope it never ends.

Oh my God - I forgot!  Pumpkin Ale rolls out!  I need to get a job so I can buy some Pumpkin Ale!

Zombies are the fucking best.

I can't wait for the WWZ movie.

Hell yeah!  World War Z is the best book ever recommended by Patel, who is normally a lit snob!

I think my balls have frostbite, it's so damn cold here today. I've gotta go clothes shopping to get some more appropriate attire for this weather.

Movie?! Cooool.

Yeah, apparently the screenplay is balls-to-the-wall awesome.  J. Michael Straczynski is a good writer when he doesn't muck it up with his dumb ideas.

It's a great, light fiction novel.  I haven't checked out the audiobook, but I heard that's excellent as well.

Since it's done in that oral history format (I know there's a better technical term), you have all kinds of actors voicing the characters for the different segments.

"An all-star cast including Alan Alda, Mark Hamill, Jürgen Prochnow, Henry Rollins, John Turturro, Rob and Carl Reiner, and many others deliver their parts with such fervor and intensity that listeners cannot help but empathize with these characters. Max Brooks acts as the interviewer, providing an inquisitive but stagnant demeanor."
