I also kinda look like him and used to have pretty eyes or whatever, but now I'm too old.  Missed my market window?

Actual music is pretty good though.  But then I'm pretty talented musically, so parity there too.

His new album is really cool.  I'm probably in the minority though.  Very Dylan-y, and I like that.

I also think he is an awesome writer, but whatever

I only listen to two albums of his: Fevers & Mirrors and I'm Wide Awake. The latter because it's a great album full of good pop songs and the former for the contrast: the songs are angsty and reek of self pity, lyrics full of stupid imagery, etc. I do like Arienette, a lot. May be my favorite song of his. Just listening to the gap in those two albums shows that he's evolved somewhat. I haven't listened to anything more recent than Wide Awake, maybe I should do so.

Because of this thread I'll give Lifted another listen, but it didn't quite grab me the first few times.

Just know it's not stinging with a lot of political commentary and some of his more famous themes that he used in the past.  It's more upbeat and folksy.

Our first dance was to "Sea of Love" covered by Cat Power, and we were introduced at the reception with the first 30 seconds of "O Fortuna" composed by Carmina Burana :lol
