Lucasfilm registered a trademark for "The Old Republic" and "Star Wars The Old Republic" in July of this year, and the trademark applies to:

I've been patient, but now I need my next-gen KOTOR.

I really don't want an mmorpg.  At worst I want a Diablo style game, but I would most like KOTOR3

The funny thing is that BioWare Austin is made up of the people SOE/Lucasarts got rid of from the first SWG team. Basically it's launch SWG minus Koster. Rich Vogel, Kevin O'Hara; etc. from SWG are the ones heading up BioWare Austin. Brack got smart and went to Blizzard where he could nerf to his heart's content.

SOE buys EA Austin and gets the UO2 team and code. They make SWG for Lucasarts and it sucks.

BioWare buys the SOE Austin exiles and makes SWG2 for Lucasarts.

This is like The Next Generation.  You've got TV series(single player RPG) that everyone loves and wants more of, but they get greedy and go make movies no one wanted (MMO).

I caved and started buying FPS, but I swear to god if I can only have FPS or MMORPG I'll quit gaming.

KOTOR3 would have been awesome.

KOTOR MMO will probably be okay, but I will only play one MMO and that will be WoW.

Kotor 3 should just be an all out action-adventure game.   The RPG lite combat in the first two games got old quick.

Why can't they just do both?   :-\  How can they not do a KOTR3 after that cliffhanger ending in KOTR2?  >:( I think the MMO could work especially if it is a prequel to KOTR taking place during The Mandalorian Wars.   :-[
