Title: Roomie-Bore: Guess how much my roommate owes in library fines.

My Roommate is writing a paper about WW2 and he checked out like 60 books from the library. Guess is  much my roommate owes in library fines.

Why would a library allow you to check out that many books?
I can't checkout more than 5 or 6 books total for one or two week at my Uni.

He's a PHD student. So the rules are waived for him. He deserves the fine though, he's extremely absent minded and lacks any common sense.

Tell him to bargain with the Librarian.  That's what I did as a student.  I just lied about not being to afford the fine so she brought it down to $20.

too  bad you couldn't bargain with a bbc. i'm sure she would have cut the entire fee

A BBC would be handy in many situations.  Equipped with one, I probably could have taken her home with me, like in all those net videos.

Yep and they always e-mail like a few notices as the due date comes closer.
