Title: 2004 Election documentary "Inside the Bubble" (plus Biden cursing out the media)

A company called Snag Films has made available the full content of "Inside the Bubble," a Kerry campaign documentary that was never distributed after last cycle, and hasn't been widely seen.

Coincidentally, I wrote about it back then for the New York Observer, and the most memorable bits were the Kerry campaign's abortive election day celebrations.

In one, a Kerry supporter passes on the good news on Election Day: “I hear they’re crying in the White House.” In another, a Kerry advance man, Jimmy Loftus  and another man embrace and Mr. Loftus passes on the early numbers: “They have a word for that and they usually write it in big black print on the front of newspapers and they call it a f***ing landslide.”

"War Room" this isn't. The filmmakers got virtually no access, and their political analysis isn't particularly memorable. Still, worth a watch for the snapshot of four years ago.

Though, of course, Kerry never held the kind of commanding lead -- much less in October -- that Obama does now.

The release, in any case, is part of an online election film festival Snag is putting on.

The beginning is brutal. Watching them celebrate while they read off the exit polls for Ohio and Florida (showing Kerry ahead)=  :'(

Kerry's campaign staff was pretty fucking clueless. What a difference between these jokers and Carville/Steph/Begalla in The War Room

edit: the Bin Laden tape 4 days before the election really threw them off. I can't help but think the Bush admin has some old tape from July that they've been saving

edit: man, I'm on the final day in Ohio (11:30pm). They don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow  :'(

"we're gonna be very cautious of exit polling, because of last time"  :-\

edit: WTF it goes off before the election numbers start coming in.

Beardo  :lol

If that's why it was cut off...fuck that. The reactions to the loss would have been the most interesting thing
