sf4 owned

CASSHERN THE HERO
-
That looks pretty fucking ace.
-
Visually stunning, but I have a preference for more traditional fighters. This doesn't look like much more than tag-team Guilty Gear, a series I could do without playing ever again. But hey, I'm ready to be proven otherwise.

Holy shitttte
The art style is way better than SF4
-
Amazing how the art style makes it look so much better than SF4, despite the shittier hardware. That first background just shits all over anything in SF4.
-
Forgive me for asking, but I haven't kept up on this game (I do love Gatchaman though)--is this 2D or 3D? The res of the video makes it difficult to judge (although 3d models are obviously used for the super animations).
-
It's a 2D game using 3D models. "2.5D" and all that. Same as SF4.
-
I know that video is small and all, but it looks VERY 2D in all respects, aside from the animation quality.
There's little to no chance of a US release on this, I am guessing? I love G-force/Gatchaman :(
-
WTF, no it doesn't look better than SF4.

Holy shit Casshern :bow2

The art style is better. And that background is awesome. SF4 has nothing like that. Nothing.
-
Isn't this never gonna come out in the US due to licensing issues? :'(

You can boot it up on a US console via homebrew.

probably not
however, it seems to be an almost open industry secret at this point that this engine will be used for Marvel vs. Capcom 3
also why MvC2 showed up on XBLA - they are rebuilding the franchise
they'd only have to redo half the characters - seems like a no-brainer
-
dude
sf4 is awesome
don't hate until you play it
-
Looks shitty like a Street Fighter EX clone.

I played it like two months ago when it was only at a single location test arcade in the US
himumu owned again? seems so :bawl

Never mind that SFEX1 and SFEX2 were great games in their own right, SF4 is nothing like those. It feels 100% like a sprite-based 2D fighter. It plays like a cross between the older SF2s and SF3 (with the revenge system replacing the parries).
It's a really good game. My problem with it is the character roster. Too many "been there, done that 1000 times" characters and not enough new ones, plus the four new characters are kinda "eh" design-wise IMO. The Tatsunoko side of TvC is more appealing to me.

The EX games sucked irregardless of how you looked at them.

lol, Capcom vs games cant really touch Guilty Gear's mechanics.

No way; people have bad memories of SFEX3 (which was a rushed POS) I think. Those games played great and the Arika characters were fun to use. I would rather have Allen, Blair, Skullomania, and Crackerjack over the four new SF4 characters.
