The only state he's on the ballot is Montana for the Constitution Party, I believe.  So yeah, if you're gonna vote for Ron Paul over Bob Barr (the actual nominee of the Libertarian party) then you'd need to write him in, thus "other".

I'm not doing the early thing, even though it would guard against the small chance I'm incapacitated November 4.

As silly as it is, I like Election Day being an event.  Every time I've cast a ballot under the heading "President of the United States of America" I've gotten a little thrill.

Voting is practically the only ceremony that tugs at me emotionally.  I also get misty during certain national anthem renditions (Mo Cheeks helping that girl out, La Marseillaise in Casablanca).  Apparently I'm a closet nationalist.

I have nothing against registering people to vote. But when that same person gets registered multiple times under different names as long as they vote for who ACORN wants them to vote for, then we have a problem.

Really? I thought the news broke this first and ACORN didn't investigate until afterwards.  In all 12 states this has happened in? Face it, this is deeper than a few bad employees. This has happened multiple times with ACORN.

2004: ACORN caught doing this in New Mexico to get ACORN approved agendas passed.
2004: Ohio voter fraud
2004: Florida voter fraud
2005: New mexico wage initiative. thousands of fraudulent signatures to put that on a ballot.
2008: Obama gets over 800,000 in donations from ACORN.
2008: ACORN caught in Michigan in voter fraud adding fake Democrats voting for Obama.
Plus many others I haven't listed and some I don't know about.

so, I think its more than just a few bad eggs. Seems like an overall bad company thats still doing it. :)

Ganhyun would you care to link to some of the stuff you posted?  I admit I don't really know that much about the issue. From what I have been reading on the issue there does seem to be some fishy stuff going on at Acorn.  But it also appears Acorn has been the target of attacks from conservative and Republican groups for years (sometimes for good reason apparently).

If you would post them in the election topic that would be great.....no need to derail this thread any further.

Actually, you're talking about voter REGISTRATION fraud, which is a lot different than voter fraud, or voter suppression which was what I was talking about.  And so far this year there's only one person that's been arrested for voter registration fraud... and that person is a Republican.
