Title: Within 2 hours, my PS3 has no sound through HDMI

I played the thing all day since I came home sick from work. The kids get home in the afternoon while I was downloading some shit from the store and 'Life with Playstation.'
Before I turn the machine off, I check out what 'life with playstation' is all about. I scan over to egypt... things seem unresponsive but the hd lite a wireless light have activity since I'm still downloading stuff.
We have dinner, baths, and bedtime and I go to see if the PS3 is down downloading. It is but it's still stuck on egypt. I hold PS button and tell the machine to turn off.
I turn back on but I have no sound through HDMI. I've tried EVERYTHING the net could offer.
I got sound back by plugging in the red and white composite cables to the PC ports on my LCD and changing the audio settings to play through them.

So strange and it killed 45 minutes of gametime. :'(

Anyone got a reason why?

Did you try a different HDMI cable?
