Title: Anyone else having trouble going back to Wii Sports...
Post by: Howard Alan Treesong on November 26, 2006, 04:14:56 PM
...after visiting an actual fucking bowling alley?

Blaring top 40 music, pulsating blacklights, skanky high school students and cheap draft beer vs. wiiaboo character design, teh innovation controller, and 8-bit pin "physics."

Reality wins again!

The best part of any bowling alley is the arcade they always have.  Every arcade has at least three of the following games:  Lethal Enforcers, Daytona, SF2 Champion Edition, PacMan, X-Men vs SF, Tekken 2  :rock

My bowling alley had Ms. Pac Man/Galaga, Point Blank 2, Tekken 3, Lethal Enforcers, San Francisco Rush 2049, a bootleg DDR machine imported from Japan, and perhaps the greatest light gun game ever made...CarnEVIL!

How many of THOSE are available on Virtual Console??

Oh man CanEVIL looked like crap.  I was like 9 when I saw it and I loved it then so maybe it's actually still good?  I only pretty much play Time Crisis at arcades anyways since that's the one attendants leave on "free" when they get off their break.

THREAD OF THE YEAR.

The Fisher-Price Mii thingies are revolting, and the games themselves aren't so much playable by the person waggling as they are enjoyed by the onlookers mocking the silly posturing.

The nearest bowling alley is, like, 30 minutes drive and I don't have a car.

Instead of Miis Nintendo should have included generic space marines. Then the game would have been eXtreme BadAss!!!1

Because that woulndt look as cute. The great thing about Miis is they are so custimizible and they are just so cute that you cant help but feel all warm in fuzzy inside. That is unless you are drinky crow and hate Nintendo.

Didnt that new one open up downtown opposite the Warehouse? Alex told mr it was pretty cool. He also said: "They dont let you in if youre already really pissed, so you have to get pissed there." LOL. Marc Ellis got kicked out of there also.

The Lanes? That's like a bar though and I think they only have two lanes. I'd feel too awkward bowling in a bar.

Yeah, bowling is one of those games I could never see the appeal of needing a digital version; it's not a team sport (unlike football, soccer, baseball, etc), it's pretty accessible for most people (unlike golf, racing, snow/water -sports)...
