Yeah, like 40% of the Yes on 8 advertising is coming from Utah. (And 80% of the Yes on 8 advertising is coming from Mormons.)
On an issue like this, youre either for it or you arent. Commercials can't objectively lay out a pro-con on either side of the fence. It comes down to defending a belief, which most people are decided on already. So Utah spams ads, it isn't going to change minds, if anything it will let people who disagree know that they need to get out and vote.

Nah, they've made the issue about education and tax empt status for churches by LYING to people.
There was a group of cute girls waving signs that said "mormon, straight and against 8" made me feel better about people.
I wouldn't say they are a lost cause. The yes on 8 campaign did an amazing job reframing the issue around education and tax status like i said, and it scared a lot of well meaning people.
