This game is fucking awful wow
maybe the worst game I've played this year, even worse than the Lair demo I played earlier this year.

You mean it isn't a magical piece of art that is a true revolution in music games? :'(

It can't be worse than Guitar Hero: World Tour.

At least GHWT has Tool and Hendrix.

Rock Revolution is probably better than this. One of the most shocking things was that they make you unlock songs. The only songs at the start are twinkle twinkle little star and other songs like that. No access to Nintendo songs until you unlock them.
The control area actually more complicated than Rock Band, either Drums or Guitar. Unlike those games where it makes sense, here you can either produce noises just by shaking the remote (or pressing a button for violin or flute), but if you want to play slightly less shitty notes you're required to hold down some combo of analog stick directions and buttons then shake. It's not intuitive, you don't feel like you're playing a real instrument, you just feel dumb and the initial sad humor when playing with friends became just sad and depressing. At least with others around there is a sense of wahjah that you all are gigantic assholes, but you're assholes together. It's a bit like being a PoW where a bond forms between the crew. I was the John McCain for borrowing it to try the solo drum parts.

I acquired a copy without paying for it... despite the non-game hate-train, I've liked or loved almost every piece of software Nintendo released over the last year or so, but this one. I dunno. I've got the balance board, and I got a kick out of the drum lessons and jamming along to some of the tunes on drums, but it all got boring to me pretty fast. I don't think its meant for me (ie. someone who is 25 and can actually play instruments)
Hope your rental didn't cost a lot.

Nintendo hasn't even made a game as good as Guitar Hero World Tour this gen.

i'm about to play it now... i had to run a system update - luckily it was just 3.3U which only blocks the old Twilight Hack (i have HBC)

This is the most fun I've had with it so far

i couldnt do it, i turned it off. i JUST got done with the FORCED tutorial and i couldnt go on. i am defeated by wii music. i feel so drained. i dont even want to play videogames anymore. i'm just out of it. it took all i could to play that game, and i am defeated. wii music is like the pollution to xbox's captain planet. i am out. i'm done. i am hanging up my gamer jacket.
