I got my 120GB HDD retail, so I got the transfer cable. If you get it used or from china, you don't get the cable.
So If anyone needs it, let me know.
-
If there's anyone in Japan, I will do the same
If I can find my cable
Where the F did it go
-
the cd software that comes with it is region locked btw, at least the pal one.

Can someone confirm if this is true for all regions? I have a Japanese 360 and was planning on buying a 120gb HD when I go back to the States.
-
will the transfer cable/software work on a 60gb hdd? if it does i would really appreciate one.
-
I remember reading on gaf a little while ago that apparently the transfer from 20GB to 60GB will work, but only if the 360 is one that originally came with a 20GB drive.
Maybe see if you can find more info, but it's worth a try at least.

This is true, every version is region locked. However, I did the transfer by doing it on a friend's American 360 console with no problems

well in that case it should work for me. mojo do you still have the cable?
-
can i use it? i'll pay for shipping.
-
thanks for the cable mojo but will it work without the software disc?
-
No you need to use the disc in order to start the transfer. There is a way to use 3rd party software to copy the hdd to your computer and then transfer it onto the new hdd.
-
i dont think that will work without a flashed dvd drive
btw i appreciate your help and i lol'd at the giant box you sent the cable in
-
sorry to bump this thread but does anyone have a transfer cable that they are willing to part with? I have a buddy who just bought a 60gb hdd and, of course, it didnt come with the cable....I am more than willing to pay for shipping. Just send me a PM. Thanks.
