Fire them and hire ParticleReality.
-
When I traded Too Human in there they told me that I was lucky to have played the best next-gen game ever.
-
I don't think Willco works there. I could be wrong.
-
Now that I think about it, they were actually pretty par for the course as far as idiotic gamestore employees go. My expectations were just too high for a Willco operation.
-
I had one of the best experiences ever today at Gamestop. The guy was 100% helpfull and when I was a few change short of signing up for a edge card he looked around the store for loose change to pay.
-
People at my Gamestop are cool. I asked them to find a Naruto PS3 code that unlocks a character, and the guy had to look for it for 5 minutes or so because Namco bandai printed it on something smaller than a business card, but he eventually did find it and gave it to me and I was all like 'thanks'. I also got a Gold Hammerburst code for Gears 2 despite not being at the midnight launch.

You used cash? Cash is like government-issued coupons.

Better than writing a check
-
No, I used traded in games to get Fallout 3 and head enough left over for the Edge card...which I don't really know why I got it.
-
my experiences with gamecrazy have been pretty good
they offer better trade in prices then gamestop, although not by much. The staff at my store arent complete idiots and actually seem to play games

When a GameStop employee asks me of my opinion of a game, do they REALLY want to know or are they just being nice?
Because like, he asked me my thoughts on Ctra 4 and I felt flattered :-[

They want to know how to better market preorders and strategy guides to you and people like you.

Yeah, I don't run that side, dude. I haven't even truly spent a full work day in that store, yet. I'm helping out in other store and then I'm going to be based out of THAT store. I'm not even listed as SMGR.
Did you peak at the video side? Did you see all the remodeling I did by hand? I'm talking open floor space, destroying fixtures, separating the library in half for sell through (previously viewed and new), etc. I literally broke all that shit down and moved the fixtures myself.
I like the GameCrazy there. The SM is pretty good and he's got a right-hand man that I tried to hire when I was at GameStop that's pretty awesome. But then they've got this weird guy that they absorbed from another store and this one dude that seems sarcastic and obnoxious. If you dealt with the latter, I could understand not being super impressed.
-
Willco, wouldn't it be awesome if you told ParticleReality you were going to hire him, but then on his first day, you just tossed him a dumpster and let homeless people rape him?
-
:rofl :rofl

Yes! :lol

I think when I move back home I am ordering everything online.
-
Instant gratification!

I am going to miss the bullshit-free, 100% helpful, no-money-down reserves on EVERYTHING service I have been getting from Japanese stores (well, mainly Chameleon Club) the last few years.

I figured as much. Those last two descriptions are apt for the knuckleheads that were in there today. I could choose which is which based on that single sentence.
I didn't get a chance to stop into HV. I'm without a car and was getting taxied around by a friend, so I was in a bit of a hurry. :(

Dude, prediction: You are going to be JONESING for Japanese-style service in stores and restaurants in the first month.
Then again, it's possible in America you'll enjoy actually being able to have a conversation with the store clerks and waiters, rather than having them look uncomfortable and panicked at a scenario not covered in the company manual.
