I can't even accept MO/Checks when listing games. WTF?
Is there a new selling hotness? CAG is too stingy, and I dont really want to make a listing for 3 games on there, and GameStop, etc will just rob me blind. I'm hoping to get at least $45 a pop for these since they are pretty new (Fable 2, Fallout 3, Silent Hill 5).

Yeah, about a month back eBay changed a bunch of their policies, one of which is you can only accept Paypal now. I hope eBay dies in a fire.

I put Fable 2 up as a test, to see how it does on there.

Seriously. That's messed up. I guess I'm done with eBay. Long live Amazon.

Amazon selling looks good, and seamless. Have you had good experiences with it, Rman?

I hate their new star rating thing. You can have a 100% feedback, but people can anonymously give you a low rating on shipping or something because you didn't get them their DVD in less than a week, and now all of sudden you're banned from selling. I haven't even used Ebay since they started doing all that stuff, screw them.

Yes, for the most part. The feedback system can be dumb, tho, as Joe said. Anything that get me away from PayPal is good in my book.

Actually, I was talking about Ebay. They've almost completely done away with the old seller feedback rating in favor of these stupid star ratings.

I sold my PSP like two weeks ago, and after like 5 days the fucking buyer opened up a dispute on PayPal because I didn't answer them over email after I said I sent it (which I didn't). Fuck PayPal and their catering to the buyers without any questions/.

My Fallout 3 was Buy It Now'd so that's cool. Shame he will have to wait until Monday.

What the fuck, are you kidding me?

Paypal is horrible. The time it took to transfer money into the Paypal account was horrid and would make spontaneous bidding on expensive shit impossible

That could be because you have it linked to your bank account. I have it connected to my Debit and payment is instantaneous. Transferring from PayPal -> Bank Account takes a couple days, though.

Oh ok, that's coo' then. I didn't have a Debit Card then (haven't used ebay in a bit). That definitely sounds much better.

Amazon is pretty good for new stuff. But older games and guides will sit there for months, not selling (unless it's a really popular guide.) The only problem is fighting for that lowest price. I usually suck it up and go $5-$9 lower than the lowest item, just so nobody tries to go lower any time soon. Newer stuff will sell almost immediately at $45 (like first week or two.) All in all, it's more hassle free than ebay and usually faster.
on a different note, it seems like the market for rare games has dropped a lot this year. You used to be able to sell all kinds of obscure PS1 and PS2 games and guides at great prices...not so much with 2 Great 2 Depressing. Either that or people are deserting ebay.

If people pay with MO, buyer protection goes out the window. Which means that sellers could as well close the deals outside of Ebay, and thereby circumvent Ebay's cut.

lol cheques. get with the times americans

I stopped using eBay after they kept taking down my auctions and accusing me of selling pirated shit. Which is odd because I have a 100% approval rating.
