This kinda snuck up on me, I didn't realize it was coming out so soon until it popped up on Steam in the new releases. Is anyone getting it? I don't have the time to play it right it now, but I'm curious what other people think about it.
-
so broke till friday
-
wait, is it on steam now? OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD RUSHING HOME
-
wtf its been out in yurop and australia for a month now. console versiosn still a little way away though
-
JESUS THIS GAME IS 12 GIGS
there isn't that much disk space in all of poland combined
-
Early reviews have been kinda meh. I'll wait until someone else here posts some impressions before I put down $50 for it.
-
i played and really enjoyed the demo. the main complaints are the bugginess, but it's apparently NOT as buggy as the original sacred launch -- which i endured -- so eh.

That's not nice. Borys is probably playing this on his 13" Tandy monitor right now.
-
I want this so bad but i'm a filthy poor with an insufficent PC :gloomy :gloomy :gloomy

At least his TRS-80 is more powerful than a Wii.

this game is like having a loot clown jizz absinthe straight into my statwhore mouth and anus

It's coming out on 360 and PS3 too.
-

-
it's an eastern yurop loot game.
-
Blind Guardian did the theme song, what more do you need to know??
-
I love steam but...gogamer 48 hour madness has this game for 32.90 at the moment. Damn.
-

ha ha
wow
i can't even loot my way through titan quest. i'm still in egypt

That's pretty weird, but most of the metalheads I knew (hell, I used to be one...) were big video game fans, so I guess it makes sense...
-
I'm about 49% done downloading it so when I'm done I'll post some impressions. I'm hoping the game actually clicks with me though because I haven't enjoyed many dungeon crawling loot whore games lately.
-
I've just played a bit, and I'm digging it. It runs really well, too. It's Sacred. . .in 3d. If you didn't like Sacred, you probably won't dig this.
Complaints (so far):
You have to exit to the main menu to tinker with graphical settings.
When you tinker with graphical settings at any time other than game start, it has a tendency to crash.
Playing without vsync is not recommended. It tears all over the place. Luckily, it runs well enough that you can afford the luxury.
The UI, while improved, is distinctly eastern European, maybe so far eastern that it's been irradiated by Chernobyl. FYI, to change weapons, youa ctually drag the new weapon over the old one on the main screen--there is no weapon slot in the equipment screen, for no logical reason.
The hotkeys aren't, well, rationally placed. I still haven't figured them all out. If 'I' doesn't open my inventory, u suck.
-
e opens skills
f opens inventory
c opens character sheet
don't ask me why!
-
m is map at least!
-
Sacred 2 is so oddly charming. I like how they tried to be funny with stuff the main character says but it usually comes off awkward.
Q is God. Best idea ever.
-
yeah, every loot game should have a "pick up all the dropped shit in a determined radius" button
-
you guys seem to be forgetting this is Sacred lol. Its not Diablo, its not Titan Quest
-
well sacred 2 just came out sooooo
-
I'm still pretty new to steam. Is there any way to give a game you purchased to someone else? If so, I'll give my copy to someone if they want it.
Ha, no. You can gift games to people, but you have to do it right when you buy the game. Once you've bought it, it's forever linked to your account.
-
huh, i have a character at level 15 and have had no problems -- sees really polished to me, sacred legacy ui decisions aside.
-
360 version delayed till February 2009. :'(
-
oh, i've had that a couple times, but it fixes itself in like 10-30 seconds
-
I catassed the game last night. I was forcing AA on my GPU, and once I turned that off, my perf issues disappeared. I kinda luv this game
-
yeah, i adore it for some odd reason -- it is hilariously eurotarded
-
I love my robot dog thing. Makes me want to fuck my neighbors doberman.
-
i picked a dryad, which is a good warrior/mage hybrid.
-
hm looks interesting, i might buy this

If you haven't played the original, I'd wait until it goes on sale. I love it, but Sacred is a love it or hate it thing.
-
No matter how much money is thrown at the Sacred license, it will always reek of eastern europe. Its hilariously middle tier, but oh so charming
-
Have they fixed the servers with the US release? For the last month, I've been getting nothing below a 1350 ping.
-
go australia :-\
-
Yeah, it's pretty much unplayable. I like the game and all, but fucking christ, THQ. Get it together.
-
thq didnt do Sacred here, Red Ant did.
-
Probably just as well you told me that before I sent whiney messages to PR guy Drew Taylor.
-
:lol
-
mmmm, the ass of the cat
-
This is the funniest cock tease of a trailer ever for this game: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/44590.html

I finally got some time this week to play Sacred 2. It's a pretty good Titan Quest/Diablo clone with a huge, non-linear overworld. But it's got a nice feature that's just driving me crazy. First of all: the enemies level up with you. Now, this is pretty much par for the course in these types of games, but that's not all. Also as you level up, the number of enemies per square foot also goes up. I'm at level 17 and every step I take outside of town has me wading through dozens upon dozens of enemies that never get any easier to kill. UGH.
