the banner is funny, but there's two problems with it:

1) it's animated, and an animated banner is annoying as fuck.
2) there is visible hoe ass in the banner and along with the hooker heels and slogan it makes it very nsfw-looking.

and i disagree that our current banner is nsfw. while it certainly is very in-jokey and most likely confusing for new members/occasional lurkers, the whole "burning flag anti-american sentiment" is kind of a silly thing to say. what with the maf head, cheesy image and photoshop effects, and the crying eagle, it's quite clear that it's a joke.

i don't think i'd be stretching if i said that if someone's boss disciplined them for surfing a site with our current banner, their boss is an idiot. however, a site with hooker ass and a "slam dunk'n hoes" slogan, well, that's a different matter.

i guess we'll let willco have the final verdict on this, but he usually sides with the people who browse at work.

neither looks correct to me.  

As for the unicorn, the banner is small and usually out of the way...someone looking over your shoulder would have to be quick to see it and discern what was happening.

On a related note, I didn't even know what "Brought up on DUI charges" means until I googled DUI.  While "driving under the influence" is a phrase commonly used, I've never seen it abbreviated before.  Maybe it's an American thing?
