It's refurbished but $550 off seems like a pretty good deal since it's a relatively new model.
How fast approximately is the 9700M GTS? I'm really unfamiliar with mobile GPUS.

i dont really have expereinces with refurb prices
and that GPU is pretty good for a laptop.
the resolution is :/ especially with 17inch
a shame it has the older mCPU from intel. the new one has 2.26ghz, but wahtever.
I hear alot that performance of 7200rpm 200 GB < performance 5400rpm 320 GB, which is obviously a bad snatch, but this depends on brand/model i guess. Personally, 5400rpm with bigger capacity is the way to go for me, I heard too much about lesser read and write performance even with a faster rpm.
oh i just noticed the DDR3. Not really worth the additional price, but again, i'm not too familiar with refurb prices
