It has: - action, fights, some gunfire - great special fx - historical significance - boobs - memorable theme song - a love story
There's something there for everyone.

I dont know it was hard watching the first time through without choking up. On repeat visits its just too fucking long for me. And not worth the time.
Oh and i should say i hate the movie cause i had to wait till midnight with my mom to get it on VHS at Bestbuy when it came out. From then i dont think i've liked the moive. I didnt have a choice in staying or going which sucked even more.

I liked it the first time I watched, didn't cry* or nothing though. What killed the movie for me was Celine Dion with "My Heart Goes On". One of the handfull movies that was destroyed by a horrible song that was played...over...and over...and over...and over...and over again. ugh
*One of the handfull of movies that made me cry was Schindlers List (the scene were the main character is assessing his personal material and stateing how this and that could have saved a jew), I cried like a baby!

Are you on the perfect crack? As far as boats sinking, it was pretty moving. The love story sucked so hard. . .wait, it actually sort of served as an emotional cushion for the carnage I knew was coming. Kind of made me root for the iceberg.
Maybe it -was- the perfect movie. Whoah.
