Title: Quick! Help me decide on a laptop for work!

So I've been asked to spec out a laptop for my own use at work. The only major requirements are that it be a Dell and that it have a serial port. That being said, I'm sure my boss would prefer me to search through Dell's Latitude series, so that's what I'm doing.

Here's two PCs I've made up:

Which would you guys go for?

If this is for work i'd go for the smaller laptop.

second one: smaller and has a better gpu

first one is a rip-off

We've been using the Dell D620 and D630s at the office and they are solid. The sales people all have them to demo our product. We have 13 of them out in the field and I've set up every one of them.

We can still get them downgraded to XP Pro from Dell :teehee

D630 would be my choice.

Get the good warranty with it. You could throw it at a tree if you get mad and Dell will replace the whole thing next day, no questions asked.
