Ya know, if those "extended interviews" were part of the actual mag, this may not be happening. Just a thought.

Is there even anyone left who actually pays money for a subscription to EGM?
-
so much for my free subscription running several months past the end of time
-
the latest egm showed up in my mailbox a few days ago, Im not sure why as I dont remember signing up for it again
i gave it a read and its pretty terrible, short as hell too, maybe 60 pages of content, 30 pages of advertisements
also I noticed the word otaku used at least 4 times

Why bother when most of that stuff is online, anyways? :yuck

It's free!

I have a paid subscription but in my mind it's only a gesture to support their awesome podcasts. The magazine is alright content-wise, but it's really sad to compare the binding, size and paper quality to that of Edge or even Play. Also: please do away with carded ads that you can't remove without destroying the binding of the mag. Play and Edge seem to get by fine without them.

dont care

i cant even remember the last time egm was relevant
oh yes i can - never
sad to see people lose their jobs though
-
Sucks, but I'm not at all shocked if this is true.

I can-- when they were 300 pages long and provided game genie boss codes for SF2 for the snes. I loved that shit when I was a kid, read every word.
I flipped through one a few months ago and it was like looking at an anorexic supermodel - pretty in some senses of the word (nice pics and designs), but completely malnourished and thin.

Play is actually in better shape financially, considerably.

REALLY? How's that work?

taking bribes from every videogame and anime company on earth.

Yeah, the 300-400 page EGM's in the mid 90's were fucking awesome. The newer ones are boring.
-
the only way i could see a gaming mag surviving for any length of time is if it were a weekly newspaper-styled mag, and even then it wouldn't have the longest lifespan
print isn't dead, but it's definitely on life support
a few years from now when e-paper readers are dirt cheap and in color, then you can call time of death on print
-
EGM is such garbage now. It takes me like 5 minutes to read through because it has so little content.
-
fuck
hopefully the powerful new parts I got since doing the first one help me out. Do you know if homing rockets lock onto the patches?
-
lol owned
-
I figured it was inevitable.
-
Conjuring a tear.... wait for it...
Nope. I've got nothing.
-
Are they going to reimburse me for all the issues they still owe me?

Those Sega circle jerk sessions are doing their taco-y purpose... :-\

When's PSM gonna get shut down? I keep getting it in the mail and I haven't renewed in like 2 years.

Technically, it did shut down and Future replaced it with their version of the Official Playstation Magazine...
