It seems that they actually took 4 different patties and melded them together while cooking.  It's like a meat amoeba with cheese.

The one I had wasn't nearly that out of control, although it did stick over the edge a bit. Basically they don't care if it's round or not and you won't either once you take a bite. It's pretty much one of the best burgers I've ever had.
