The school district I work for (Auburn) canceled classes today, so I'm doing absolutely nothing all day today. So awesome.

After living in Ellensburg for two years during graduate school, I've come to learn just how stupid we are when it snows in Western Washington.

The roads over here in Ballard are bare and dry, I might take a trip over to Northgate or down to Market Street or something, just because I can.

My wife went to work in downtown Seattle this morning, she said it's like a ghost town down there. There are five people in her office today.

Seattle is getting 90% of the attention in terms of road maintenence. Everything north of and including bellevue am fucked total.

Truth be told I cant imagine driving in downtown seattle with ice ;)

Kent and Auburn are covered in ice still, they aren't doing anything to clear that stretch of 167... I wonder if I'll have to go to work tomorrow...

When I talked to her earlier this morning, she said that on her bus ride into work, she counted three cars amidst the fleet of Metro buses.

haha, how are the busses doing it? Are their tires chained? I guess there was some bus wreck in bothell yesterday.

Dude, the bus drivers are awful drivers.  I can't get to work for 5 days in a row without some potentially traumatizing thing happening on the ride to and from work.
