Lets all play SOTN again. I got up to Scylla last night. Going for the full playthrough with both Alucard and Richter, though I doubt I'll get 200.6%. Btw, how do you check your percentage? I remember being on the status screen, but don't see it (I'm on the 360 version.)
what is a man, what do you here, i am interested in this, etc.
-
isnt the percentage on the map screen? I know its on the save slot
awesome game, 200/200 here
-
Still the best metroidvania.
Still the best Castlevania OST.
:bow SOTN :bow2
My first lttp thread I made over at GAF.
-
i guess now is as good a time as any to finally dig into the xbla version.
-
The XBLA version is good. Digital Eclipse didn't completely fuck it up. I like how you can stretch the screen to your liking. The "enhanced" filter is pretty decent for LCDs.
this game still has some of the best 2D art and animation going on.
-
only thing bad about the xbla is the sound, i remember the voices and sound effects were louder than the music, old 150mb limit etc...
-
I might get the XBLA version once I get that mad catz pad
-
still my favorite castlevania
-
any of you guys go for the full 200.6%? I'd like to try it, but I imagine that last .6% being absolute hell to get.
-
i did.
i used my brother's laptop to compare the maps, my eyes were pretty tired from zooming in and out, checking every fucking dot.
-
I've tried it on the psp version. I've got like 199% or some shit but I just can't find the rest and I've compared maps on gfaqs and everything ugh.
-
Is it just about highlighting areas of the maps by visiting them or do items and events count towards it too?
-
I think you can go above 200.6% :D
-
you just need to visit them.
i remember missing 2 hidden rooms and a save point, yes a freaking save point.
-
lol, must be the same save point I missed! that was the last room I needed for my 200.6%, then BAM a cool 35Gs
-
The 360 version is so sad. It's actually a great port, but the awful 360 dpad ruins everything. I had to play the game with the analog stick and it felt like shit.
-
It doesn't require much precision, so it doesn't bother me.
wow, just figured out that qcf+attack with the rapier gives you a cool multi-stab attack. I guess it's unique to the weapon since I haven't picked up any special techniques yet.
-
Unless I'm mistaken, you can unlock spells just by casting them, no?
-
correct

I got it on the 360 version. What will constantly bug you is the hidden rooms, because they don't appear on the map so you'll have to track them down yourself.
This very last week I finished both Alucard and Maria (PSP version). Maria is really cool, I finished her game in about 50 minutes. I wish I can play the Saturn version, I wanna see the new rooms while listening to Bloody Tears :-(

this isn't a spell though. it's some special attack with the rapier. it's pretty sweet.
the highest rated faq on gamefaqs for this game is the most distinguished mentally-challenged thing I've ever read. No punctuation, totally vague, seems babelfished :lol

I have this game on:
360
PS3
PS1

Hated playing this on the 360 pad and, if I remember correctly, you couldn't re-map the buttons. I used to always have my off-hand be a shield mapped to one of the R Buttons.
But yeah, still the best after all these years. If they could only do something about the difficulty...
i checked last night and you can remap the buttons

lol, this is epic ownage
