Worst possible timing but I've got this Interview coming up, IT position (haven't done it in a few years) and its definitely not a sure thing. Then there's the other job that's a sure thing, I've worked there before and them seeing this they've already got things set in motion quickly (orientation, shots, drug test) but its boring, pay is shitty and its only 2 days out of the week with possibly more time being picked up.
Should I flip off the bad job and gamble on the good one? Should I try and stall the bad one, see how the good one pans out? Should I say "fuck this" to both and stay unemployed?
:-\
Its like I'm being tested. FUUUUCK

I would gamble and go for the better position. You're young. Why not? Be conservative later on in your life not now.
Also, I've never had a drug test since I started working as a teen. What industries require drug tests?
-
That particular one is in Security (Security Officer). Lots of High School dropouts and whatnot, I'm guessing they've had so many bad experiences with people who do lots of shit.

go for the good job man, dont settle for a shitty one. Youre a smart guy, you deserve better
-
Try for the unsure thing, rather than the sure, bad thing -- natch.

The defense industry, I had to take a drug test when I got hired at my current job. Also I had to take one to work at Kmart of all places :-\

I sent out the email with my info and "Marketing Summary". I was all like... what the fuck is a "Marketing Summary"? Then I googled it and read that I have to whore myself and sell them on my "talents" and "experience". Just a Resume and a good ol' conversation doesn't do it anymore :'(
