Wipeout HD: I love this game, gotta finish it, though.  It's hard as heck though.

SS2THD Remix: Getting back in the groove after shaking off some rustiness.  'Gief is a beast with the new rebalancing.

Tales of Vesperia: I love the combat, music, and art direction, but it seems very poorly paced and too linear in the beginning.

Dragon Quest IV: Quest of the Chosen: Finishing the post game stuff.  So addictive.

It's awesome to feel that i saved the best adventure/platformer game for last. I liked Mirrors Edge, liked Tomb Raider even more, and now i'm liking Prince of Persia more than those two.

Resistance 2 - just popped this in and played a bit of SP.  After reading the R2 thread, and not being much of a fan of the first,  I was thinking I'd traded in on a turd - but I really enjoyed what little I played.  It looks a hell of a lot better than the first one, and the controls seem smoother.

Tomorrow I'll try Far Cry 2.

I agree with you here. I completely despised the first Resistance but the second one's single player is actually playable. The first Resistance had no feeling to it at all (enemies displaying no signs of pain to being hit/gameplay felt "off"). The second one feels just right. It also helps that it has a kickass co-op mode.

Should be 78 w/epic flyer by the end of the weekend w/o much trouble.
Will also try to play the new Sonic and Alone in the Dark I got from Amazon.

Have they patched AitD yet? If not, I may wait.

playing some mirror's edge right now.  i had really high hopes for the game after the amazing demo, but i'm getting so frustrated playing the full thing.  there are these really fun parts where you're just running and jumping off of the environment, but the game comes to a screeching halt every time they throw enemies in.  it's so frustrating to try and find a path when a bunch of dumbfucks are constantly blasting you, even with runner vision on, and holy fuck why do they force you to fight them sometimes?  i'm sure it would be less annoying if i wasn't going for a no kill run, but the combat feels so clunky and you have so little hp that the fun gets sucked right out of the experience.  still a very good game, just not quite as awesome as i was expecting.

other than that i might try and finish up dead space, which is ok, and then it's back to fallout 3 :hyper

I WAS playing Valkyria Chronicles until I lost about 45 minutes of playtime because I forgot to fucking save. I also WAS playing SSIIHD Remix but fucking cheap people online are FUCKING CHEAP BASTARD WTF HOW DOES BISON GET TO THROW YOU BEFORE YOU GET A CHANCE TO AND WTF AT E. HONDA AND BLANKA PLAYERS THOSE FUCKING fegs AND SAGAT DOESN'T DO LIKE ANY DAMAGE ANYMORE ITS LIKE THEY PUSSIFIED HIM!! FUCK THSI SHIT

far cry 2 - totally digging this, it's EATED my evening like henry paulson eats banks last night

battles in normandy - never leaves my hardrive, never lets me down, never going to turn around and fail supply check

world war one : the great war  - ageod's newest game, a lot of the bugs that had people screaming when it came out are fixed and it's a OK game. birth of america 2 was better, but then again it might just be the subject matter.

pure (pc) - tied with grid for best arcadey racer this year, $5 for hot 6 billion fps PC edition from amazon

my new GTX 260 is FUCKING ACE btw.

While I await my 360 repair here's what I'm playing:

Soldner X- Good, not great shmup. Looks nice in HD but too detailed for its own good.

SSF2T HD- Despite some stupid bugs I've been having alot of fun with this.

Turrican 2- Going back to my new favorite old game. Such an amazing soundtrack.

Super Startdust PSP- It's pretty good. Plays a lot better than I had anticipated.

Been playing Far Cry 2, but it's rough. It's fine as long as you just drive or walk around looking for diamonds, but trying to complete missions really reveals what a buggy mess it is.

Just finished chapter 5 of Mother 3... awesome and fast-paced game, but not 'greatest game ever' like some people think. Also playing Dragon Quest 3 GBC and I think I overall like this better than DQ4 DS. It's fairly relentless in its difficulty (just got the Magic Key from the Pyramid), but not as overly obnoxious and grind-heavy as DQ2 was.

Then just get close enough to the big gunner to shoot him a few times.

then you make your way out!

Last Remnant just came in the mail today.  I installed the thing and played it for a half an hour - I think I've had maybe one minute in that time where I wasn't experiencing some slowdown, screen tearing, or texture pop-in.  I'm not too crazy about the story or the way it looks in general....this is going to be tough to get through.

Other than that, I've got Banjo Nuts N Bolts and Motorstorm 2.

What I did was turn back, run along the left wall to behind the trucks, walljump off the back of a truck onto the pipe, climb up the pipe, quickly turn around and jump onto the vent, and hope to jebus I didn't die before then. That section is the shittiest part of the game, took me god knows how long to get through it w/o shooting at anyone.

even if I do get my money back I've still lost a significant portion of my deposit thanks to my rage issues.  ME just cost me a few hundred dollars :(

I think I'll console myself by playing an old game I enjoy this weekend.
