Does make you wonder. Bluray discs arent cheap either.
-
that packaging is unimaginably awesome
-
even the font is shit-hot

Were the first two seasons even done in high definition?
-
i don't think so, but i'd imagine they'd still look better
they could always just cram all the sd episodes into one blu ray set
-
Yeah, the first two seasons were not in HD.
The box art for Season Two was awesome, as well. Season Three was not as good as Season Two, though. :(
-
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH look at that box art!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
ORGASM IN MY FUCKING PANTS. MOTHER NATURE JUST PISSED HER PANT SUIT OF AWESOMENESS!!!!
There is a god. Now if only they upped the res on the first two seasons.

Hi Def 2D IS worth it, I just cant figure out why it cant fit on one. Its kinda like how Firefly was on more than one bluray, when it doesnt look that good. Can someone tell me why this is? I assume there's a reason aside from greed since its the case for a lot of releases.
-
Its cheaper to make two 25gb discs than it is for one 50gb disc. At least that's my assumption when it comes to multi disc sets on bluray.
-
I can't get over how sexy that box art is. I'm gonna end up buying this and I don't even have a BRD player.
Looks like I don't have to, the DVD set is just as good:

That would make sense, but its still weird that going to a format, known specifically for its space, cant hold it all on one disc.
-
Oh dvd artwork too, look like I'll have to buy both. one for the living room one for the bedroom.
-
Knowing absolutely nothing about Blu Rays since I don't have one, I would guess that it is on two discs due to laziness. I imagine they just copied the menus and stuff from the dvd versions.
