Anyone pick this up yet?
The remixes aren't bad and it plays enough like the original. Thumbs up from me.

I like it but the PS3 D-Pad makes it so I can't perform the moves I want like half the time.

Pretty awesome game, played it throughout thanksgiving weekend with friends. Online is neat too, it's just too bad that single player sucks; the AI is fucking ridiculous.

Plays quite well online though. Too bad I can't pull off a decent hadoken with the Xbox pad, even with the sandpaper hack

Doesn't matter what controller you use. The timings are really hardcore to the point of being ridiculous IMO.
I'm playing the PS3 version with a Saturn pad and an Ascii pad and my "pull of the right move"% is still only about 75%. Playing online, at least on the PS3, shows this is a global issue. Most of the matches are players trying to do moves and messing them up so they do standing or jumping attacks on accident or stick to charge moves that are hard to mess up. You can pretty much win a match just by waiting for the other player to mess up a move and then go in for the opening.
Compared to 3rd Strike or MvC2 or Arcana Heart or Guilty Gear or any other PS2/PS3 fighter, the timing is faaaaar stricting. I popped in 3rd strike to be sure and I was pulling off moves pretty near 100% on a saturn pad.
Maybe the original SSF2's timing was like that, I don't remember. But if it wasn't I think the developers were just too hardcore for their own good. The remixed move lists make moves easier, but if the timing is so strict you still can't pull them off all the time it's kinda pointless. Hell, Zangiefs new HCB,F+P SPD is harder to pull off than the original 360 because going from HCB->F without accidently jumping is DIFFICULT. If you play Zangief and have a throw opening you might as well just go for the new HCB + K motion for his other input throw because at least you'll pull it off pretty consistently.

are you using a usb saturn pad or a ps2 one through a converter? if it's the latter, converter lag might be the problem -- i tried using my ps2 saturn pad through a converter and couldn't hit anything. i'm not having any problems on a joystick, nor have i seen many online players struggling

Sorry, but no. They made the move timing even less strict and everything is easier to pull off in this version of the game than before. I agree with Drohne that it is probably the converter you are using.
Been playing this more on 360 than PS3 lately. Good comp online; can't comment on the A.I. because WHO THE FUCK CARES PLAY THIS MULTIPLAYER, VEEDIOTS. But it did seem easier than ST's insane CPU. It seems that none of my friends back here in the States bought this, which is disappointing, but with the online play so good I don't really care.
Gonna be playing this hardcore non-stop at least until SF4 hits home.

PS3 for me. Had a really weird but cool glitch happen to me earlier today. I was in a fight with Ken as Blanka and towards the end of the match I started using electricity. Ken managed to jump kick me which not only caused me to loose the match but shock him at the same time as well. When the next match started there was this electric field around Ken for the whole round. It didn't do anything special but thought it was a neat looking glitch.
If anyone is looking for a decent player I'm usually on mornings and nights. I'm pretty well rounded with most the characters so you won't get stuck with nothing but Ken matches.

I have it on both systems; it feels less glitchy on the 360 version.

Damn. This game is buggy. My PS3 just froze. That has never happened to me before.

Yeah I have had this game freeze up on me several times (PS3 version). One time it just locked up on the menu screen :-\
