The power has been out since 7pm est. It isn't supposed to be back on til 10pm. Its starting to get cold inside. Thank Jah I have my BB. I had so much I wanted to do that involves electricity. :cry

I just got a call that there's no water out at our property at the lake. So I have to wait for my laundry to finish here, then drive 1/2 hour out there and work on plumbing in -17c weather. THEN I have to come back and get ready for work in the morning. :yuck

It isn't supposed to be back on until 10pm? Was this a planned blackout?

I hate when the power goes out, too, especially when it's cold or hot out. I have a saltwater tank with some corals worth a pretty penny, and I always get nervous when the power goes out. I end up bundling the tank with blankets if it's cold out, hah.

Do you have a gas stove? You can light the burners with a match and warm your hands and stuff that way. :)

Even though I enjoy camping (ie, where there's no power), life gets excruciatingly boring when the power goes out in everyday life.  God forbid I should pick up a book. ::)

It's the worst when the temperature is all wrong and you have no way to correct it

I don't have a problem with it since I have my PSP, DS, cellphone, laptop, ipod touch, ipod nano, and gameboy micro all charged all the time.

I blow the dust off my DS, and surprisingly the battery usually has enough juice for a decent bit of gaming despite sitting for long periods.

Power came back on around 9:36pm. I could watch the rest of the football game.

No it's wasn't a planned outage. There is a number to call when there is a problem in my area. An automated message tells you the approximate time. It got down to 58 degrees F. Burrrrr

It's about 20 degrees F here and our oil burner isn't working... no hot water for showering. House is fucking FREEZING too. :-\ :-\ :-\ I'm waiting for the repairman right now, instead of being at work...
