The family of seven is starting over after domestic violence resulted in homelessness and the economic downturn led to reduced child support.
The mother, 37, would like her kids and granddaughter to be in a house by Christmas. Time is running out; their temporary accommodations will no longer be available by the end of the week.
Many of their belongings are in storage, but will have to be forfeited if mom can't come up with money to pay the storage bill. Even so, they will need pots and pans, cleaning supplies, dressers and a bed for the mom.
The second item on the family's wish list is a job for mom. She also needs size 4X sweatshirt, size 3X T-shirts and size 7 1/2 or 8 shoes and boots.
The oldest daughter, 17, needs clothes, including size 16 pants, size 2X shirts, size 7-8 underwear, size 9 1/2 shoes and boots, a size 2X winter coat and a hat and gloves. For Christmas, she'd love a size 3X red hoodie and a pre-paid cell phone.
4-month-old daughter needs age-appropriate toys and infant size 2-3 shoes, size 6 to 12 month clothing and a snow suit, as well as a hat and gloves and size 3 diapers.
The 13-year-old daughter needs size 12 pants, large hoodies, medium T-shirts, size 6 underwear, size 7 to 7 1/2 shoes and boots and a women's L winter coat (pink!), as well as a warm hat, gloves and socks. For Christmas, she'd like a pink iPod, Chris Brown CDs and a diary and journal.
The 12-year-old daughter needs size 16-18 pants, size XL shirts, size 7 underwear, size 9 1/2 or 10 shoes and boots and a women's XL winter coat, as well as a warm hat, gloves and socks. Her wish list contains an MP4 player, Three Days Grace CDs, radio and batteries.
The 4-year-old son needs size 5 pants, size 6 shirts and T-shirts, size 5 underwear, size 13 boys shoes and boots, size 6 winter coat, a warm hat, gloves and socks. From Santa, he's hoping for a VTech computer, Spider-Man toys and books and LeapFrog books and games.
The youngest son, age 2 1/2, has disabilities. He needs size 3T pants, size 3-4 shirts and T-shirts, size 5 diapers, kids size 8 shoes and boots, a size 2-3 snow suit, warm hat, gloves and socks. His Christmas list includes Elmo's Restaurant, learning games and a Little Tikes underwater video camera.

When leaving donations, be sure to say they are for Case No. 12. Gift or gas cards should be put in a sealed envelope with the case number written on the outside and left at the desk during the day.

Where is Mansfield? I ask because it just so happens that a family member recently moved in with a woman that has seven kids and a grandchild. They're also the EXACT SAME AGE as the people listed in this article.

That story is similar to the situations of many of the children I work with. :(

Ethiopians are bewildered how poor Americans can be so fat.
On topic, I would really like to see the many decisions that were made in the years prior to her being at this point.
