The soundtrack to this movie is manna from heaven. It would not be the same movie without Nick Cave, and particularly the "song for Jesse", just really sets the tone for the entire picture. The movie is just so lovely to look at too. The script is strong, the performances are strong, and the trappings for this film alone are enough to make it worth watching. Why did this movie bomb so hard? It was much more enjoyable then No Country.

I could only watch the first half. SOOOOO FUCKING SLOW.
-
Better than TDK.
-
"Song For Bob" is the real opus of the score.
-
This ended up as my retroactive MOTY 2007 over No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood, and everything else. An absolute masterpiece.
-
No retcons needed for me - TAOJJBTCRF was always my film of the year!
-
I really liked it. One of the first Blu Ray's I netflixed.
-
Soundtrack is really amazing, yeah.
-
It was a good hour longer than it needed to be.
-
Cave has a really great cameo as the guitar player in the epilogue, confronted by the drunken Ford.
-
I can see where some might complain about the length, but the cinematography was so lush that I never grew tired of watching what was on screen. I would have trimmed some of the scenes belonging to secondary characters (the time spent at Jesse's uncles was about twice as long as it needed to be), but really, the pacing of the film fit the mood.

Loved the movie, Casey should've won awards.

pretty artificial movie didn't do much for me. but there is some talent there so it predictably become a film geek's delight. score is overdone. :heartbeat sam rockwell.

Why did this movie bomb so hard?
The studio never put it in more than 300 theaters.
