WRC will never be the same :(

"Coming up, I'll be looking for a new job... NEEEEXXXXXXTTTTT-AH!"
-
huh
-
You won't get it unless you live in the D.C. area, but I'll cut to the chase...
WRC is a D.C. institution. It's the local NBC affiliate, and has been ridiculously dominant because of its on-air personalities. But the mothership has launched a job cutting programmed called "NBC v2.0" and that has led to Susan Kidd, I.J. Hudson (who will give me all my local tech reports!), Arch Campbell (movie critic since movies were created) and George Michael. The last one was a big cut, since it made ESPN and means that the SportsCenter precursor, The George Michael Sports Machine, will shutdown later this year.
Sad news.
I grew up with these people. I think everyone in the D.C. area has.

The Sports Machine is terrible.
-
That's irrelevant. Its impact will be its legacy.
-
Arch Campbell's a douchebag. I'm glad he's
dead fired.
-
Booooo! I honestly haven't watched any local news in forever, but Arch was my boy. He was on the set of the last episode of Homicide.
I heard that George Michael quit because they were cutting his staff, and he didn't want to be making a ton of money while they were firing his friends. That doesn't happen in real life. What's the dirt?
-
They were going to fire him anyway, he just quit first.
