Title: Awesome new PC RPG - Drakensang Demo inside.

I'm about 2 hours in, but I already like it more than NWN2. Much of the game is nerfed (limited character selection, no crafting, no herblore, etc) but everything is very polished and there are TONS of different skills/feats/attacks you can upgrade on your character. Party combat with that old-school Baldurs Gate 2 mechanics (pause, direct party, unpause). Graphics are very nice and I haven't met a women yet that doesn't have 38 DD's and lots of cleavage.

The demo is only 500mb and it's an RPG on the PC. How can you turn it down? It starts off a tad slow and the bad animations might put you off .. but stick with it.

Here is a mini-review of the German demo released about 2 months ago. Ignore the detracting remarks because they mostly revolve around not understanding german and the limited nature of a demo.

I'm gonna play some MWN2 while it finishes downloading!

Edit: First download got corrupted somehow, second download got messed up because my computer had a seizure. Will try a third time, however.  :'(

Third time's the charm, apparently.

I've put in maybe 30 minutes so far and I'm already loving this game. I don't know if I ready to put it there with Bioware's and Obsidian's best [plenty of time for that after the retail version comes out], but it's definitely from the same mold. Graphics are really good [wonky animations aside, although NWN 2 had it's own problems in that area] and the gameplay is more of less a carbon copy of the tried-and-true Baldur's Gate style.

Hopefully the full version's not too far away, because I'm definitely getting it.

Awesome, glad you liked it. Could be the sleeper hit of the year if the game stays consistent throughout.

Probably not too high. I've got it maxed aside from the high resolution textures [which the demo doesn't support] and it runs really smooth.
