Dodonpachi Daioujo Black Label was 12/25/2008
Ketsui first home port ever was 1/29/2009
Death Smiles was Q1 2009
now
DDBL is Q1 2009
Ketsui is TBD
DS is TBD
Noooooooooooooo
I don't mean to offend some of the distinguished fellows who like Otomedius or Raiden 4, but Cave moving onto X360 is the only thing that matters in the shmup world. More months without new Cave games to play at home... :'(
-
i really need to buy a jp 360 for the shmup lovin'.
-
Probably moving the games to Wii.

Yeah, guess they read the NPD.

Probably moving the games to Wii.
I wouldn't be surprised.
-
troubled arcade relief program
-
Actually I was thinking what DC was thinking, which is that MS & Cave are re-negotiating the titles as XBLA releases since X360 is starting to do well in Japan and MS might want to beef up their XBLA lineup for 2009.
-
fucking hell. hopefully the other games have just been moved forward a bit by black label's delay, but i'm not buying a j360 until ketsui comes out
-
Death Smiles got a date - 4/23/09
So:
DDP - 2/19/09
Ketsui - ???
Death Smiles - 4/23/09
Unless there's something weird going on with Ketsui, March would make sense. April is faaaaar, but at least DS has a date.
-
:gloomy Delaybox 360 :gloomy
-
reported.
-
Can these games be played on a REAL LIVE YANKEE 360?
-
start wavering, cos afaik there's never been a region free j360 exclusive, and i remember reading that region lock on 5pb's cave ports has already been confirmed
maybe somebody will pick them up for us release though -- we're getting rf aces :hyper
-
Deathsmiles is a good game, one of Cave's most accessible games yet and pretty fun to play.
DDP launching on the same day as Shooting Love though, foolish!

:lol I don't think DDP has much to worry about.

it just makes so much fucking sense to region free-ify those sumbitches. Hardcore shooter fans the world over (like me) would gladly pay whatever ridiculous amount they charge for it. Hell, what percentage of those low-print run Dreamcast shooters found their way out of moonspeak-land? I'd bet it was enough to make it worth any developer's while to cater to the international market by doing something as simple as removing the fukking region lock!
and once again I feel damn bad for Triangle Service. Shooting Love sounds pretty awesome and I know its already miniscule level of attention will dissipate in the shadow of Cave's admittedly excellent whatever they put out.

I doubt that imports come to more than a few hundred sales. Compared to the money that the devs can get for licensing their game to western publishers, it makes more sense. The importers will gladly buy a domestic release if there's no import option.
