My friend is hosting a Fund Raiser for the Myositis Association. Its going to be a Guitar Hero WT event. Anyways, He only made it an event on Facebook but I want it to get as much publicity as possible.
Here's the description from Facebook.
Come one, Come all! And show off your inner Rockstar for a good cause. Charity Hero: Battle for a Cure is the first of what we hope to be an annual event. All the money raised will be given to the Myositis Association in honor of my mother, who lived with the disease since I was a child. There will be prizes and fun to be had, so please invite everyone on your friends list! (Start time still not confirmed)
Charity Hero will be a competition between bands of 4 people who will get on stage on rock out using Guitar Hero 4. You will be judged on performance, NOT YOUR SCORE. So get up there and rock beginner mode if you want, as long as you rock it. The grand prize for the winning 4 will be a Guitar Hero prize pack (MORE THAN 600$ WORTH OF PRIZES TO THE WINNING BAND!!!!!!).
There will be raffles for all kinds of prizes.
We ask a small donation at the door, and then you can go rock out and have a good time. A donation of 5$ will get you 2 free raffle tickets.
We're still looking for sponsors, so if anyone knows a place that would be willing to donate something, send an email to the address listed for the event with all the information.
