Title: Cool places to visit on the east coast?

I got some extra cash, and I'm thinking of going somewhere on the east coast next week (cheaper, shorter flight :cancry) for my Christmas break. Suggestions? I'm thinking Boston so far. I also got a good deal on New York. Keep in mind that I have never been to the States before.
Thanks in advance for your help. Any advice would be welcome. :)

I'd recommend NY, but you have to watch out for the surprise Tauntaun buttsecks :-*

NYC. Washington, DC is really cool too. So are parts of Philly. If you like aquariums, Baltimore, Maryland and Camden, New Jersey have great ones.
