I'm pretty sure I can see a bit of rice in the healing tissue around my wisdom tooth site. I've been going at it for like 15 minutes with a toothpick, but there's just a little nub sticking out. A turtle head, really.
So is it AIDS for me? Maybe something herpetic? I really should not have been eating teriyaki with lots of rice after getting holes punched in my mouf.

it gets infected and you're fucked, but please, die so i can have your stuff
-
Infections, operations, more mouth pain.

Get a small syringe with a big enough opening to suck up the gunk. You should get one so you can use it to suck up the junk and then to wash it out with warm water and salt. might help you out, it helped me.
-
Tweezers or chopsticks would get it out better.
-
Who had White Man dying of a rice infection in the 2009 prediction thread?
-
Is it in the upper or lower jaw? Because that will determine whether they'll be able to amputate or not.

A piece of rice in your tooth? That's nothing!
Jaswant Rai Speciality Hospital, Meerut, India.
A 27-year-old lady presented with persistent cough, sputum and fever for the preceding six months. Inspite of trials with antibiotics and anti-tuberculosis treatment for the preceeding four months, her symptoms did not improve. A subsequent chest radiograph showed non-homogeneous collapse-consolidation of right upper lobe. Videobronchoscopy revealed an inverted bag like structure in right upper lobe bronchus and rigid bronchoscopic removal with biopsy forceps confirmed the presence of a condom. Detailed retrospective history also confirmed accidental inhalation of the condom during fellatio.
But seriously, call your dentist/oral surgeon, TVC. They'll yell at you more than likely, but they'll be able to help better than us.

It might be granulation tissue if it feels firm and you have a hard time removing it with a toothpick. If it was a piece of rice the wound would probably squeeze it out while closing up (inside out).
Don't worry about it.

I already did. I mightvl die though, as he is located in a part of Bellevue that is still rather glacial. This had best not interfere with my plans to get rip roarin drunk and watching the long cut of Fanny and Alexander.

Yeah. I've had lockjaw, and it fucking sucked.

Man, first drohne was knocking on death's doorstep, and now TVC's gonna most likely succumb to the bubonic plague or something or other. 2009 is gonna be a depressing year. :(

I'm pretty sure I had some food gunk stuck in my bottom left wisdom tooth healing hole and it's healed up just fine. Don't worry about it. If I die in the next year I'll try to get someone to warn you, though.

He got it out, gave me some more penicillin and percocet.
I've been on penicillin 4 or 5 times in the past 6 months. I am probably going to die of like, a papercut infection in 2 years.
