But the Prius gets better mileage than that, right?  Toyota gets to suck it because Ford is just about in their ballpark?

Since the 2004 redo EPA ratings have been a lot more accurate.

The Ford midsizers have no quality issues, they won initial quality awards from JD Power

We'll see, the current Fusion has done decently.

Currently the Ford Escape is the small crossover with the best fuel economy - 28mpg. Here's Chevy's response, 30mpg.

Swear to God that the Equinox's interior was ripped from the Volt.

All Chevys going forward are gonna have interiors like that, same for Malibu and Traverse and the upcoming Cruze (40+ mpg)

Fuck, screw laws against cellphone usage while driving, that busy interior will probably distract the driver way more.

LA Times gets 52mpg in the Fusion Hybrid in real life testing. $25k out the door with your hybrid tax credit.

Also took number 1 in Car and Driver's hybrid comparison test by a wide margin.

Does the Apple iConsole come in any color other than white?

We're going to be buying a new car (for me!!) in January or February. I can't get my wife to even consider looking at an American car.

Why does your wife hate America?

That's a good question.

I currently drive a 1992 Ford Escort, I wouldn't mind getting another American car, but we'll more than likely get a Toyota or Honda.

There's no excuse to not take 20 minutes and not look at a domestic alternative. There are domestic vehicles, and good ones, that compete in pretty much every class.

The only American she's even given any consideration is the Malibu.

Final EPA rating for the 4cyl: 32/22. 29/20 for AWD. That's better than some compact cars on the market.
