Title: What is Second Life exactly?

Is it a super version of the Sims or something? People have their own in game money, own in game websites, etc - is it just like a virtual world like the Sims or something?

It's an MMO-styled social interaction thing.  It has a virtual economy that you can translate into real world money or something like that.  It's popular amongst furries and WoWers that use it to preplan raids.  And other losers.

I've seen the word furry used 3 times in response, I have no idea what that is. What's a furry?

Well that second link is more of a parody site, but I thought it was pretty true as well. Do note that equals more then 100% btw.
