Title: my dream about lust
Post by: recursivelyenumerable on December 28, 2008, 07:58:40 PM
I dreamt I was given a ticket for being guilty of lust, so I had to go to this neat stainless steel art deco-ish tower like something out of Metropolis.  There was one floor for each of the seven deadly sins, after I took an elevator to the "lust" floor I met the guy in charge of punishment (actually I'm not sure if it was a punishment or more of a corrective procedure, the line between the two may have been a bit blurred in the universe of this dream) who was actually quite nice and told me to go into this completely featureless steel room where I'd be locked in by myself for three weeks.  The procedure would consist of implanting my flesh with several lust-bugs (this wasn't what they were actually called in the dream, they were lust-some-suffix-I-can't-remember, at any rate they are tiny maggot-like critters) who would then lay their eggs in my skin until I was completely covered with lust-bugs, which are both physical and mental parasites capable of tapping into my psychic energy or some shit.  Supposedly this wasn't actually painful, though it sounded unpleasant and I wasn't looking forward to it, also he said depending on the results of the procedure they might choose to subject me to intense pain later.  Anyway I woke up before they could carry it out.

Too bad you woke up before the intense pain part. :(

So it was basically sort of a mix between Before the Law, The Trial, and In the Penal Colony, then?  Also, much like all of Kafka's novels, the story went incomplete.
