I need:
1. A carrying case for a 8.9" netbook that will also hold the AC adapter, mouse, and a slim external HDD
2. A fast, inexpensive 16GB SDHC card
3. A wireless mini mouse with a micro usb receiver

1. get a nice portable dvd carrying bag. i have a great one from init with a messenger strap that also hauls my psp and a portable drive for MAXIMUM NERDAGE TRANSPORT. don't call it a "murse".
2. kingston has one for $50. might be able to find taiwanese offbrands for cheaper.
3. if you wanna get the best, fork over the $60 for the logitech vx nano. alternatively, fork over $50 for the microsoft arc mouse. both have tiny nubs, and the arc is a full size mouse that collapses to half the size.

I use a microsoft mouse. Also, get a notebook bag with good durable protection.
The notebook may be too small to need one, but I rather like the belkin cooling pad. It's nice for sitting around with your notebook/laptop on your lap.

Yeah the VX Nano is an awesome mouse. For mine I just use my desktop wave mouse - the receiver has a detachable USB part for use with notebooks.
Thanks for reminding me about the the SDHC card, I need to get one for my EEE PC 900. 16gb should be fine, I dont use it for much.

cool, thanks for the suggestions - i hadn't thought about a dvd player bag

I have this case. (http://www.buy.com/prod/case-logic-10-ultra-portable-notebook-case-neoprene-black-case-logic/q/loc/16234/207985259.html) Fits pretty much everything I need, including the mouse and AC adapter. I should add that I bought it for like 10 bucks on the Lenovo CPP page/
I also have the VX nano, it's pretty awesome. I do haul along an old Logitech laptop mouse I bought a few years ago alternatively.
