Didn't MGS3 actually do this already?

I'm especially excited about being able to skip right to the cut scene before the closing credits. Cut out all the busy work.

Quote from: Douglas Adams
The Electric Monk was a labour-saving device, like a dishwasher or a video recorder. Dishwashers washed tedious dishes for you, thus saving you the bother of washing them yourself, video recorders watched tedious television for you, thus saving you the bother of looking at it yourself; Electric Monks believed things for you, thus saving you what was becoming an increasingly onerous task, that of believing all the things the world expected you to believe.

I looked it up and yeah, the special edition of MGS3 edited the gameplay segments into a 3.5 hour film so that people didn't have to play the parts between the cutscenes.  Gaming was already this pathetic.

If you play Shenmue 2 you can crack hilariously funny "lucky hit" jokes.  That way it won't be a complete waste of time.

The whole premise of this is embarrassing, but this would have been handy in Twilight Princess's obnoxious introductory fetch quest involving a rather unruly cat. I'm pretty sure the only difficulty in Nintendo games arises from poor design.

just go for a walk around your local town with $5 in your pocket (walk everywhere too)

Open every drawer you see, drive a forklift, get a kitten, and ask about sailors.  There, you've played Shenmue.  Although since you like the Wii ____ line of games, you might be into it seeing as it's a non-game.
