So...i said wtf, i have nothing to do, my 360 and Ps3 and wii are there sitting, and i'm listening to Obama's spitting hot faia, and i'm like "Damn, i haven't done much with these bricks as of late, haven't touched my 360 since Prince...." Then i remembered, hey, i never tried that NXE installing stuff.
But i don't know which games are made better with it. Fable 2? Gears of War 2? What?

with the exception of Halo 3, Dead Rising, and I think Crackdown, every game is better. I'd actually say that even those 3 are better because of the noise reduction, but load times are longer.
-
Saints Row 2. Shit loads nearly instantly.
-
Mirror's Edge
-
Most of the EA sports games seem to load about 50% faster. I know Lost Odyssey and The Last Remnant are much better. I haven't noticed much difference with most other recent games, but I know that the older games get a boost. My 360 isn't that loud, but if yours is, that's reason enough to install.

can you install crackdown now? i thought you couldn't.

Yeah, that and Dead or Alive 4 are the two games that can't be installed. I don't think anything has changed regarding that, either.
Rock Band 2 and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 both have better loading, fwiw.
-
^ DOAX2 you mean, DOA4 installs just fine.
-
My 2k sports games not only load faster, but the installs have kept them from randomly locking up...
Choops 2k8 forever :heartbeat :hump :heartbeat

you can't install it at all? I thought it just had problems playing.

Fable 2
Fallout 3
Saints Row 2
NBA 2k9
Fallout 3 is really awesome, and the Saints Row 2 times are cut down immensely. I played PGR 4 last night though and had some crackling in the audio :(
-
I only install games I plan on dedicating to. I haven't noticed any significant increase on the games either. But it lessens my marathon strain on the DVD and drive, so I'm ok with that.

I noticed that too after I installed it. Not a huge deal since it only happened once.
I install any game I'm about to play since it reduces the noise.
-
I install everything now so I'm not sure how much it improves the more recent games. Of those I can compare, Mirror's Edge definitely loads quicker and I think Oblivion improves a little.
-
Fable 2 is much better after installing. It makes the normally horribly stuttery menus come up very smoothly.
-
Anything's better installed, since the jet-engine noise goes away. I can even hear my game spin up, spin down, seize and such when I'm wearing (open ear) headphones.
I'm gonna get one of those 60GB HDDs just so I can rotate through a few pre-installed titles and not have to temporarily delete Rock Band content just to get enough room on my HDD.
