damn, it's extremely laggy when zooming in/out huge images.
-
I like how it has ad block built into it... I think.

I don't think it does, I've seen lots of ads.
also, MARKETSHARE lolol.
I'd use love to try google chrome whenever it gets stable enough.

What's the inprivate filtering thing then?
Down there next to the percentage/zoom in the lower right hand corner.
I turned it on, but I can't seem to get it to filter anything.
-
oh, that's "porn mode", you can also turn it on via safety --> inprivate.

Is it an improvement over the beta?
Please say yes.
Web slices = awesome
having to run every other website in compatibility mode = :maf
-
yes it is, i had a lot of web compatibility issues with beta 2 but now only few left.
if you have trouble with specific sites, download this addon: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=8e4cf8f2-84db-4df3-b2ec-c64ccf58e4bb&displaylang=en
and use it to report them, you can also send screen shots with it.
-
Thanks MCD...will do that.
Do you have a link for some really sweet addons for IE? I am pretty sure you have posted some before but cant find them now.
-
I only used one, IE7pro but it's not compatible with IE8 yet.
-
Hrmm... I like it.
The privacy stuff alone is making me want to use it over Firefox.
Plus it seems pretty solid. Firefox has been crashing on me lately.
I don't have any add-ons so it's easy to move back and forth between both.
-
Thanks guys I will download and have a look.

Firefox 3.1 beta 2 has a private browsing mode (although it's not as convenient as Chrome's, you have to convert your entire session over to it). I've been using it as my regular browser and have never had a crash or anything, actually I can barely distinguish it from 3.0.
actually though, if you don't use add-ons, why aren't you using Chrome?
-
Chrome never renders some sites correctly... at least the last time I used it, it didn't. So I just stopped using it.
That and no drop down on the address bar for recently typed URLs pissed me off.
-
I had site compatibility problems with the initial beta, but they (the ones I encountered at least, mostly with facebook apps) have gone away in the new versions.

god I hate IE. Using it right now to watch CBS's live feed for march madness since it doesn't work in Firefox. I have to do the same when I watch Lost :-\
-
sounds like FF issue, not IE.
